Fall Concert:
The Overlook Quartet

Based in New York City, the quartet, comprised of violinists Monica Davis and Yezu Woo, violist Angela Pickett, and cellist Laura Metcalf has been presented in performances and residencies around the country, highlighting the work of living composers, with recent collaborations including performing with NY Philharmonic clarinetist Anthony McGill at Fotografiska NY’s inaugural Unfiltered Festival, an immersive experience playing in the life size sculptural installations of artist Linda Sormin at MassMOCA, and bringing joyful energy to a performances of a meditative work for string quartet and improvising musician with jazz legend, Joe Lovano.

Music for Montauk is proud to present extraordinary alumni and faculty from the world-renowned Curtis Institute of Music perform audience favorites – from beloved melodies from Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess and Benjamin Britten’s Cabaret Songs to pieces by Brahms and de Falla. Don’t miss these thrilling performances by current and future leading artists – mezzo-soprano Katie Trigg, violinist Elissa Lee Koljonen, pianist Hanchien Lee, and Curtis President and violist Roberto Díaz.

A salon of vibrant string music with the beautiful acoustics and views from the Third House Dining Room. Cellist Ani Kalayjian, violinist Eric Silberger and violist Chieh-Fan Yiu perform solos and ensembles including Ernö Dohnanyi’s Serenade for String Trio.

A musical invocation of magic, light and mystery inspired by the radiant natural setting of Fort Pond House at sunset. Music for Montauk favorites harpist Kristi Shade and cellist Ani Kalayjian collaborate with jazz vocalist Olivia Chindamo in a vivid, playful and evocative program of songs and instrumental music.
